Investigation of Inorganic Phase Change Material for a Semi-Transparent Photovoltaic (STPV) Module
Alagar Karthick,Muthu Manokar Athikesavan,Manoj Kumar Pasupathi,Nallapaneni Manoj Kumar,Shauhrat S. Chopra,Aritra Ghosh +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-transparent photovoltaic phase change material (STPV-PCM) module was integrated on the rooftop window of the experimental room at Kovilpatti (9°10′0″ N, 77°52′ 0″ E), Tamil Nadu, India.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improvising the efficiency of single-sloped solar still using thermally conductive nano-ferric oxide
Gurukarthik Babu Balachandran,Prince Winston David,Rajesh Kannan Mariappan,Abd Elnaby Kabeel,Muthu Manokar Athikesavan,Ravishankar Sathyamurthy +5 more
TL;DR: The experiment proved that the implementation of the usage of nanomaterial on the absorbent layer to improve the thermal conductivity of the basin area and thus the distillate produced per hour had a better productivity rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of PV/T-integrated single slope solar desalination still productivity using water film cooling and hybrid composite insulation
Gurukarthik Babu Balachandran,Prince Winston David,Aravind Bhaskar Panayilvedu Vijayakumar,Abd Elnaby Kabeel,Muthu Manokar Athikesavan,Ravishankar Sathyamurthy +5 more
TL;DR: The experimental result showed that using water film cooling over glass cover and HNFC insulation at 0.5 cm depth caused a 35% increase in the amount of distilled water when compared with the conventional type SSSDS with polystyrene—Styrofoam (thermocol) insulation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative analysis on freshwater yield from conventional basin-type single slope solar still with cement-coated red bricks: an experimental approach.
Abd Elnaby Kabeel,El-Sayed El-Agouz,Muthu Manokar Athikesavan,Rajendran Duraisamy Ramalingam,Ravishankar Sathyamurthy,Ravishankar Sathyamurthy,N. Prakash,Chandran Prasad +7 more
TL;DR: It was found that there is an improvement of about 34% in the temperature of water which acts as the driving force for evaporation of water inside the closed chamber and with increase in water temperature the productivity was enhanced by 45% as compared to the CSS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Augmenting the productivity of stepped distiller by corrugated and curved liners, CuO/paraffin wax, wick, and vapor suctioning
Fadl A. Essa,Z.M. Omara,A.S. Abdullah,Sengottiyan Shanmugan,Hitesh Panchal,Abd Elnaby Kabeel,Ravishankar Sathyamurthy,Muthu Manokar Athikesavan,Ammar H. Elsheikh,Mohamed Abdelgaied,B. Saleh +10 more
TL;DR: The experimental results revealed that using the corrugated and curved liners increased the productivity of the modified stepped solar still (MSSS) by 42% and 33% and vapor suction by 95%, 127%, and 170%, respectively.
