Does visual fatigue from 3D displays affect autonomic regulation and heart rhythm

TL;DR: The subjects in the 3D-group showed significantly increased heart rates (HR), indicating arousal, and an increased VLF/HF (Very Low Frequency/High Frequency) ratio (a measure of autonomic balance), compared to those in the 2D-groups, indicating that autonomic Balance was not stable in the3D- group.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of 3D cognitive fatigue using heart-brain synchronization.

TL;DR: The conclusion is that the first and second HEP components are significant parameters that can quantitatively evaluate 3D visual fatigue and indicate that sensory input from 3D video requires heavy computation by the brain, stimulating heart activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-contact measurement of heart response reflected in human eye.

TL;DR: Multi-cardiac measurements were successfully obtained from a simple, low-cost, non-invasive, and non-contact data acquisition method in this study.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Development of Realistic Digital Expression of Human Avatars through Pupillary Responses based on Heart Rate

TL;DR: This study constructs a human avatar in which the pupillary response is delivered real-time based on the heart rate, and can be regarded as the basis for designing a realistic human avatar system by supporting a new visual realistic representing factor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Realistic Expression Factor to Visual Presence of Virtual Avatar in Eye Reflection

TL;DR: Experimental result showed that more clear eye reflection induced more realistic visual feeling of subjects, which can be regarded as a basis for designing realistic virtual avatar by supporting a new visual realistic representing factor (eye reflection) and its degree of representation (reflectance ratio).
