Journal ArticleDOI

The Contribution of Lubricant to the Formation of Particulate Matter with Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition in Light-Duty Diesel Engines

TL;DR: In this article, the PM emissions from dual-fuel reaction controlled compression ignition (RCCI) operation were investigated using two engine platforms, with an emphasis on the potential contribution of lubricant.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Comparison of Diesel Pilot Ignition (DPI) and Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition (RCCI) in a Heavy-Duty Engine

TL;DR: In this article, a study on the use of natural gas for dual-fuel combustion strategies in a heavy-duty engine was performed to examine the diesel pilot ignition (DPI) and reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) combustion strategies.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Natural Gas for High Load Dual-Fuel Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition (RCCI) in Heavy-Duty Engines

TL;DR: In this article, a study on the use of natural gas for reaction controlled compression ignition (RCCI) combustion was performed and the experimental results showed a significant load extension of RCCI engine operation with methane/diesel fueling compared to gasoline/diesels fueling.
