Journal ArticleDOI

Morphological stability, interfacial tension, and dual-phase continuity in polystyrene-polyethylene blends

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the addition of a triblock SEBS copolymer to polystyrene high-density polyethylene (PS/PE) blends was examined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phase inversion and dual-phase continuity in polymer blends: theoretical predictions and experimental results

TL;DR: In this article, the point of phase inversion for several polymer blends is investigated experimentally, and the results show that the model of Avgeropoulos predicts satisfactorily the point for torque ratios close to unity, whereas using the viscosity ratio the prediction is far away from the experimental values.
Journal ArticleDOI

Viscoelastic properties and interfacial tension of polystyrene–polyethylene blends

TL;DR: In this paper, the linear viscoelastic properties of polystyrene polyethylene (PS/PE) blends have been investigated in the molten state, and the results for these uncompatibilized blends are shown to be in agreement with the predictions of the emulsion model of Palierne.
Journal ArticleDOI

Miscibility behaviour of ethylene vinyl acetate/Novolac blends

Nafaa Mekhilef, +1 more
- 01 Jan 1995 -
TL;DR: In this article, a mixture of 20 to 80 wt% Novolac and phenolic resin (Novolac type) was used to investigate the miscibility behavior of the mixture.
