Fibre based cellular transfection

TL;DR: This paper demonstrates the first system to use fibre delivery for the optical transfection of cells by engineering a standard optical fibre to generate an axicon tip with an enhanced intensity of the remote output field that delivers ultrashort pulses without requiring the fibre to be placed in very close proximity to the cell sample.
Journal ArticleDOI

Integrated optical transfection system using a microlens fiber combined with microfluidic gene delivery

TL;DR: The miniaturized, integrated design opens a range of exciting experimental possibilities, including the dosing of tissue slices, targeted drug delivery, and targeted gene therapy in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical transfection using an endoscope-like system.

TL;DR: This first realization of an endoscope-like integrated system for optical transfection, using a microcapillary-based microfluidic system for localized drug delivery and an ordered axicon lens array chemically etched at its exit face, opens a range of exciting applications in the targeted in vivo optical microsurgery area.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Fabrication of polymer microlens at the apex of optical fiber

TL;DR: In this article, a simple and inexpensive fabrication method to fabricate polymer microlens at the apex of optical fiber is reported. But the fabrication technique is not suitable for the high reproducibility of microlensed fiber.
