Theory of Spin-Dependent Phonon Raman Scattering in Magnetic Crystals

TL;DR: In this article, a general theory of spin-dependent phonon Raman scattering in magnetic crystals is developed, where the integrated Raman intensity as a function of temperature is expressed as S (T )=( n 0 + 1)| R + M | 2, where the first term represents the spin independent part and the second one the spin- dependent part which is proportional to the nearest neighbor spin correlation function.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theory of phonon Raman scattering in transition metal compounds

TL;DR: Theory of phonon Raman scattering in transition metal compounds is presented in this article, where a mechanism of the d electron-phonon scattering process is proposed and shown to be important for temperature variation of intensity which depends on magnetic ordering markedly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theory of infrared absorption by two magnon excitations in two-dimensional antiferromagnets

TL;DR: In this paper, the absorption coefficient spectra due to two magnon excitation processes is calculated for two-dimensional antiferromagnets, and predictions are made as to the magnon absorptions in K2NiF4 and Rb2MnF4.
