Journal ArticleDOI
Engineered secreted T-cell receptor alpha beta heterodimers
Claude Grégoire,Najet Rebai,F Schweisguth,A Necker,G. Mazza,Nathalie Auphan,A Millward,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst,Bernard Malissen +8 more
TL;DR: Data suggest that these soluble TCR molecules are folded in a conformation indistinguishable from that which they assume at the cell surface, which would suggest that they recognize surface-expressed TCRs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiplex messenger assay: simultaneous, quantitative measurement of expression of many genes in the context of T cell activation.
Karine Bernard,Nathalie Auphan,Samuel Granjeaud,Geneviève Victorero,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst,Bertrand Jordan,Catherine Nguyen +6 more
TL;DR: The hybridization signature approach, using colony filters and labeled complex probes, can provide high throughput measurement of gene activity and can be used in many cases where simultaneous assessment of mRNA levels for many genes is of interest.
Journal ArticleDOI
T cell receptor/CD3 complex internalization following activation of a cytolytic T cell clone: evidence for a protein kinase C-independent staurosporine-sensitive step
C Boyer,Nathalie Auphan,F Luton,Jean-Marc Malburet,Marc Barad,Jean-Pierre Bizozzero,Hubert Reggio,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst +7 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that staurosporine inhibits the receptor internalization induced by anti‐TcR mAb by means other than inhibition of PKC, suggesting that other kinases may control a step of this internalization process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of tolerance to self MHC class I molecules expressed under the control of milk protein or β-globin gene promoters
Anne-Marit Sponaas,Peter Tomlinson,Jane Antoniou,Nathalie Auphan,Clair Langlet,Bernard Malissen,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst,Andrew L. Mellor +7 more
TL;DR: Tolerance induction in KAL and K beta mice proceeds via a deletional mechanism that is inefficient due either to low numbers of H-2Kb expressing thymic cells or to the low levels of H1N1 expressed by thymi cells, or to a combination of these factors.
Journal Article
Distinct requirements of positive and negative selection for selecting cell type and CD8 interaction.
Günther Schönrich,G. Strauss,K P Müller,Lynn B. Dustin,D Y Loh,Nathalie Auphan,Anne-Marie Schmitt-Verhulst,Bernd Arnold,G. J. Hämmerling +8 more
TL;DR: Although thymocytes can negatively select, even a strong increase of MHC class I expression cannot convert them into positively selecting cells, consistent with the notion that thymic epithelium is specialized for positive selection.
