Proceedings ArticleDOI
Getting a-breast of immobilisation needs for the implementation of phase contrast tomography
Sarah J. Lewis,Nathan Tam,Lucia Mariel Arana Pena,Isabella Juria,Seyedamir Tavakoli Taba,Daniel Hausermann,Patrick C. Brennan,Christopher Hall,Benedicta D. Arhatari,Giuliana Tromba,Renata Longo,Timur Gureyev,Timur Gureyev +12 more
TL;DR: The biomedical engineering cycle of breast holder development alongside medical physics considerations is detailed, including the two step process of considering single cup versus double cup solutions and how mild-suction to the breast can be implemented in order to maximum breast tissue visualization and assist with dose uniformity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Designing a breast support device for phase contrast tomographic imaging: getting ready for a clinical trial.
Matthew Richard Dimmock,Jonathan McKinley,Adrian Massey,Daniel Hausermann,Nathan Tam,Elizabeth Stewart,Cynthia Cowling,Jenny Sim,Patrick C. Brennan,Timur E. Gureyev,Seyedamir Tavakoli Taba,Cindy Schultz-Ferguson,Yobelli Jimenez,Sarah J Lewis +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used photogrammetry analysis to establish the geometric parameterisation and comfort rating of a breast support device during phase contrast tomography (PCT) and found significant positive correlations between bra cup volume and measured prone volume.
