Dynamic Stability Improvement of a Power System Based on a PSO-Tuned H2 Controller

TL;DR: In this paper, a feedback control based on H2 method is designed to formulate the problem appropriately, linear matrix inequality theory is employed to optimize the overall closed-loop system response, the parameters of controller is optimized using particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm Simulation results represent the effectiveness and validity of the proposed controller and its superiority over conventional power system stabilizer.
