TL;DR: The lives of pregnant women who suffer from preeclampsia, as well as the ones of the persons who have cardiac diseases can be sustained through the use of a smart bracelet which closely monitors their health state through sentiment analysis.
Abstract: Electronic healthcare devices are much more used as the years pass. The lives of pregnant women who suffer from preeclampsia, as well as the ones of the persons who have cardiac diseases can be sustained through the use of a smart bracelet which closely monitors their health state. The designed bracelet does this, while sending the receiving data towards the associated smart phone and then to the system's server. The server analysis automatically the received health parameters and informs the associated relatives, caregivers and the doctor in case of an emergency by sending an SMS. The bracelet's user can write about the current health symptoms and the medical experience. Sentiment analysis is used for determining if a critical situation has been outlined. In case this happened, an SMS alert is sent to the doctor. This close bond between the patient and doctor enhances the well-being of individuals.

TL;DR: Most of the interviewed persons consider the existence of such a device to be very useful, mostly the female individuals would feel more comfortable to have their blood pressure monitored during pregnancy and the medical students can learn from the critical situations and benefit from these cases while learning.
Abstract: Medical students along with the medical staff have to monitor the state of the patients by using modern devices which have to offer precise results in a short amount of time, so that the intervention to be done as soon as possible. E-learning systems for blood pressure monitoring are used and new methods of patient observation, evaluation and treatment are applied compared to classical intervention. Based on this, medical students can improve their knowledge for the practical training. In the medical activities specialized devices occupy an important place. A device that can monitor the blood pressure is a smart bracelet that incorporates a pressure sensor along the wrist for continuous recording of blood pressure values. This enables the prediction of the emergency disorders using a decision support system. It facilitates the learning of new intervention approaches and boosts the responsiveness among learners. According to the World Health Organization, hypertensive disorders affect about 10% of pregnant women worldwide and are an important cause of disability and long-term death among mothers and children. This paper is based on a survey completed by persons of different ages and having various specialization domains regarding the use of smart bracelets for detecting preeclampsia. The aim is to decide upon its popularity among people and to determine the user requirements. The pregnant women will be constantly monitored, doctors can update the diagnosis of the patient. The medical students can learn from the critical situations and benefit from these cases while learning. The results of the survey showed that most of the interviewed persons consider the existence of such a device to be very useful, mostly the female individuals would feel more comfortable to have their blood pressure monitored during pregnancy.

TL;DR: Security is a main feature of the electronic healthcare system based on thesmart bracelet where the blood pressure recordings provided by the smart bracelet are sent to the user’s mobile phone via Bluetooth.
Abstract: Digital instruments play a vital role in our daily life. It is a routine to produce business papers, watch the news program, write articles and blogs, manage healthcare systems, to purchase online, to send messages and all this is processed by making observations and then manipulating, receiving and availing the diverse data. This electronic data provides the foundation of real time data. All this transmission of data needs to be secured. Security is essential for healthcare systems as the present one where the blood pressure recordings provided by the smart bracelet are sent to the user’s mobile phone via Bluetooth. The bracelet monitors the pregnant women, but also other users who wish to have their blood pressure under control. The system’s server analyses the recordings and announces the user, as well as the associated persons to the user in case of an emergency. The doctors, the medical staff, user and user’s family and caregivers have access to the health recordings belonging to the monitored user. Security is a main feature of the electronic healthcare system based on the smart bracelet.

TL;DR: Security is very important for healthcare applications as the current one where the blood pressure values which are taken through a smart bracelet are sent to the user's mobile phone through Bluetooth and are stored on a server for the further use via an electronic system.
Abstract: Security is and has always been a critical part in any software application, even though most developers and consumers do not realize it's importance. Now when technology is more widespread than ever, when a major vulnerability in a critical application can take confidential details, and with the rise of more and more malicious third parties, security is needed more than ever to guarantee the integrity of the software product as well as the privacy and safety of the client. Security is very important for healthcare applications as the current one where the blood pressure values which are taken through a smart bracelet are sent to the user's mobile phone through Bluetooth and are stored on a server for the further use via an electronic system. The pregnant women can monitor their current condition, as well as the users who suffer from hypo and hypertension. The doctors, the medical staff, and their students have access to the health recordings of their patients. The users, their family and their caregivers can view in real time the current situation and monitor the state of the pregnant woman or the person associated to them. Security plays an important role and needs to be integrated inside the electronic healthcare system.

TL;DR: Pregnant women who suffer from preeclampsia and the persons who have cardiac diseases can have their heart rate monitored through the use of a smart bracelet, which upgrades the quality of life.
Abstract: Electronic healthcare devices are considerably more utilized as the time passes. Pregnant women who suffer from preeclampsia and the persons who have cardiac diseases can have their heart rate monitored through the use of a smart bracelet. The created bracelet sends the measured values towards the user's associated smart phone and then to the system's server. The server interprets the health parameters and alerts the associated relatives, caregivers and the doctor in case of an emergency by sending an SMS. On the system's forum the bracelet's user can write about the current health symptoms and the medical experience. Sentiment analysis is applied to determine if a critical situation has been described. In this case, an SMS alert is delivered to the user's doctor. This close connection between the patient and doctor upgrades the quality of life.

TL;DR: This paper is the result of research and development undertaken within the framework of a European Union research project targeting the development of a cyber-physical system for assisted living and home monitoring that integrates an unobtrusive network of wireless sensors with server software to provide ambient monitoring, location detection and real-time alerting.
Abstract: The current trend of population ageing leads to an increasingly larger population of older adults, who understandabl desire to continue living an independent and fulfilling life in their home and within their communities. While traditionally seen as a societal issue, we are currently at a point where advancement in science and technology enables us to augment human help with ambient assisted living solutions. This paper is the result of research and development undertaken within the framework of a European Union research project targeting the development of a cyber-physical system for assisted living and home monitoring. The system integrates an unobtrusive networkof wireless sensors with server software to provide ambient monitoring, location detection and real-time alerting. The present paper is focused on the system’s intelligent software components. The first is a business rules engine that can be configured to send real-time alerts in the case of certain ambient conditions or whe the location of the monitored person shows signification alteration from their usual movement patterns. The second component is a artificial intelligence-based location predictor, used to provide the monitored person’s location. Discrepancies between actual an expected location are used by the rule engine to trigger real-time alerts to caregivers.

TL;DR: It was observed based on the recordings that 83% of the time the pigs spend it lying down, 7% is spent eating and 10% ofThe time they walk and sit, and Pig limp was also detected.
Abstract: Animal Science students along with the farm staff have to monitor the behavior of pigs in order to assure their welfare. The video systems are used by our educational software and new methods of pig observation, evaluation and treatment are applied much faster and more efficient compared to the classical intervention. Each recording is stored as a media file and each frame taken at 0.1 seconds is stored as a Bitmap image. The Bitmap images are processed in parallel using the MapReduce programming model from Apache Hadoop. The contour of the image is automatically analyzed and based on it the presence of pigs is detected, as well as their location can be determined. The location is important because it can be denoting that the pig eats or that it stays aside. Pig limp was also detected. It was observed based on the recordings that 83% of the time the pigs spend it lying down, 7% is spent eating and 10% of the time they walk and sit. Video monitoring and automatic interpretation facilitates the learning of new intervention approaches and boosts the responsiveness among the students. The students can learn from the critical situations and benefit from these cases while learning.
