Journal ArticleDOI
Completing causal networks by meta-level abduction
TL;DR: It is shown that meta-level abduction can consistently produce both positive and negative causal relations as well as invented nodes, and applicability of meta- level abduction on networks containing both negative and positive causal effects is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of a Circulating MicroRNA Profile as a Biomarker of Metastatic Cutaneous Melanoma
Virginie Armand-Labit,Nicolas Meyer,Anne Casanova,Henri Bonnabau,Valérie Platzer,Emilie Tournier,Benoît Sansas,Stéphane Verdun,Benoit Thouvenot,Benoit Hilselberger,Andrei Doncescu,Laurence Lamant,Magali Lacroix-Triki,Gilles Favre,Anne Pradines +14 more
TL;DR: A profile of 2 miRNAs significantly associated with metastatic melanoma with a sensitivity and specificity of 90.5% and 89.1% was identified, suggesting this plasma miRNA profile may become an accurate non-invasive biomarker for melanoma.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Former books digital processing: image warping
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the way to correct the text image warping due to old bookbindings which can not open to 180/spl deg/n/n.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of bio-chemical signals by inductive logic programming
TL;DR: This paper presents a methodology to design a discrete-event system (DES) for the on-line supervision of a biotechnological process synthesized applying wavelet transform and inductive logic programming on the measured signals constrained to theBiotechnologist expert validation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Image color segmentation using the fuzzy tree algorithm T-LAMDA
TL;DR: A new segmentation algorithm based on fuzzy clustering that is completely automatized with respect to the number of clusters and the setting up of membership functions and allows to reduce the CPU time.
