Journal ArticleDOI
Influence de l’eclairage d’appoint sur la nutrition minerale de la tomate de serre
TL;DR: In this article, supplementary lighting using high pressure-sodium lamps modified mineral nutrition of greenhouse tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum mill) and increased water uptake.
Journal ArticleDOI
New model-based insights for strategic nitrogen recommendations adapted to given soil and climate
Morteza Mesbah,Elizabeth Pattey,Guillaume Jégo,Anne Didier,Xiaoyuan Geng,Nicolas Tremblay,Fasheng Zhang +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a model-based methodology to identify ecophysiological optimum N rate and optimum nitrogen use efficiency (NUEopt) in the Mixedwood Plains ecozone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uptake and translocation of sulphate in tomato seedlings in relation to sulphate supply
TL;DR: In this article, the sulfate uptake and translocation of tomato seedlings were investigated in nutrient solutions containing four concentrations of sulfate, i.e., 0.1 to 10.4 µm, and 20.8 µm to 20 µm sulfate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Row-centred log ratios as nutrient indexes for saturated extracts of organic soils
TL;DR: In this article, the top layer of a Typic Mesisol across seven crop sequences was investigated in order to investigate the composition of soil solution, and the changing levels of nutrients in the saturated soil extracts over seasons, years and crop sequences were analyzed using absolute values of nutrient concentrations, nutrient percentages relative to total soluble salts (the nutrient intensity and balance concept) and row-centred log ratios of nutrients concentrations or activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Unraveling uncertainty drivers of the maize yield response to nitrogen: A Bayesian and machine learning approach
Adrian A. Correndo,Nicolas Tremblay,Jeffrey A. Coulter,Dorivar Ruiz-Diaz,David W. Franzen,Emerson D. Nafziger,Vara Prasad,Luiz H. Moro Rosso,Kurt Steinke,Juan Du,Carlos D. Messina,Ignacio A. Ciampitti +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed data of 730 response curves from 481 site-years (4297 observations) in maize N rate fertilization studies conducted between 1999 and 2020 in the United States and Canada.
