Abstract: Multicellular organisms possess the ability to communicate in order to behave harmoniously. Generally, cells send messages by means of chemical messengers called the first messenger. These molecules interact with target cells on receptors. This interaction modifies the cellular properties by increasing or inducing the synthesis of new molecules called second messengers.
