Journal ArticleDOI
A novel thermostable lipase from a thermophilic Bacillus sp.: characterization and esterification studies
TL;DR: An extracellular, thermostable, alkaline lipase was partially purified from a thermophilic Bacillus strain J 33 and was optimally active at pH 8.0 at 60°C, retaining 50% activity at 70°C for 30 min.
Journal ArticleDOI
Immobilization, stability and esterification studies of a lipase from a Bacillus sp.
Nirpjit S. Dosanjh,Jagdeep Kaur +1 more
TL;DR: The temperature stability of immobilized enzyme was enhanced from 50 to 60 °C in comparison with non‐immobilized enzyme, and the optimum temperature for immobilized lipase was 9 °C higher than for the free enzyme, while the pH optima were the same.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of constitutive, thermostable, hyper active exo-pectinase from Bacillus GK-8
Nirpjit S. Dosanjh,G. S. Hoondal +1 more
TL;DR: A new alkalophilic Bacillus GK-8 overproduced three thermostable extracellular pectinases which retained full activity for 2 h and had pH optima 5.4, 7.0 and 10.4.
Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical analysis of a native and proteolytic fragment of a high-molecular-weight thermostable lipase from a mesophilic Bacillus sp.
Nirpjit S. Dosanjh,Jagdeep Kaur +1 more
TL;DR: An extracellular lipase was isolated from the cell-free broth of Bacillus sp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lipase production from an alkalophilic yeast sp. by solid state fermentation
TL;DR: The present investigation has been carried out with the aim to produce lipase from an alkalophilic yeast species by solid state fermentation using rice and wheat brans as alternative cheap solid substrates.
