Journal ArticleDOI

Location tracking using quorums in mobile ad hoc networks

TL;DR: The simulation results show that the strict biquorum implementation has better performance than the traditional strict quorum implementations, and that randomized dynamic quorum implementation have better overall performance than strict (bi)quorum implementations.
Book ChapterDOI

Scheduling in multi-channel wireless networks

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that when the underlying scheduling mechanism is "imperfect", the presence of multiple orthogonal channels can help alleviate the detrimental impact of the imperfect scheduler, and yield a significantly better efficiency-ratio in a wide range of network topologies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterizing and Adapting the Consistency-Latency Tradeoff in Distributed Key-Value Stores

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present probabilistic models to characterize the three important elements of the CAP theorem: consistency (C), availability or latency (A), and partition tolerance (P).

Multichannel wireless networks: capacity and protocols

TL;DR: This dissertation established the asymptotic capacity of multichannel wireless networks with varying number of channels and interfaces, and developed a new interface management protocol and a new routing protocol to exploit multiple channels.
