Journal ArticleDOI
Metamaterial-Embedded Low SAR PIFA for Cellular Phone.
Mohammad Rashed Iqbal Faruque,M. I. Hossain,Norbahiah Misran,Mandeep Singh Jit Singh,Mohammad Tariqul Islam +4 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that the proposed metamaterial-embedded antenna produces significantly lower SAR in the human head compared to the conventional PIFA, and the modified antenna substrate leads to slight improvement of the antenna performances.
Journal ArticleDOI
GPS observations at quasi-conjugate points under disturbed conditions
TL;DR: In this article, the conjugacy effects of GPS scintillation activities during the geomagnetic storms of October 2003, November 2003 and July 2004 were investigated at approximately geomagnetically conjugate stations: Scott Base, Antarctica (SBA) and Resolute Cornwallis Island (RESO) in the high Arctic region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Design and Realization of a Planar Ultrawideband Antenna with Notch Band at 3.5 GHz
TL;DR: The prototype of the proposed antenna possesses a very compact size and uses simple structures to attain the stop band characteristic with an aim to lessen the interference between UWB and worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) band.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inductively tuned modified split ring resonator based quad band epsilon negative (ENG) with near zero index (NZI) metamaterial for multiband antenna performance enhancement.
Moniruzzaman,Mohammad Tariqul Islam,Norbahiah Misran,Samsuzzaman,Touhidul Alam,Muhammad E. H. Chowdhury +5 more
TL;DR: An inductively tuned modified split-ring resonator-based metamaterial (MTM) is presented in this article that provides multiple resonances covering S, C, X, and Ku-bands.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of high gain multiband antenna with centre-offset copper strip-based periodic structure
Mohammad Tariqul Islam,M. S. Alam,M. S. Alam,Norbahiah Misran,Mahamod Ismail,Baharudin Yatim +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, two coplanar waveguide-fed high gain multiband antennas with and without uniplanar copper strip-based electromagnetic band gap (CS-EBG) structure are proposed for portable wireless applications at 2.1, 2.4, 3.5, 5.4 and 5.8 GHz.
