Journal ArticleDOI

Proton magnetic resonance studies of hydrogen bonding of benzenethiol with several hydrogen acceptors

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of temperature on the hydrogen bond formation in CCl/sub 4/ solution was investigated and the results showed that DELTA/sub c/ appears to be independent of temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dinonyl naphthalene sulphonic acid and tri-n-octylamine as liquid ion-exchangers for the study of Fe(III) and In(III)-chloride complexes

TL;DR: The stability of the 1:1 Fe(III)-chloride complex at ionic strengths varying from 0·20 to 1·00 is independent of whether H+ or Na+ is the cation of the perchlorate ion as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

4-methyl-pyridine adducts of copper (II) β-diketone chelates

TL;DR: Spectrophotometric studies in the visible region have been made on benzene solutions of Cu(chelate)2 with increasing amounts of 4-methyl-pyridine (4-me-py) as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copper and the oxidation of hemoglobin: a comparison of horse and human hemoglobins.

TL;DR: The sulfhydryl reagents, Hg(II) and NEM, produce a very dramatic decrease in the rate of oxidation, which can only be explained by an effect on the rate for the actual transfer of electrons between the Cu( II) and the Fe(II).
