Photo-catalytic membrane reactors for the remediation of persistent organic pollutants – A review
TL;DR: In this paper, photo-catalytic membrane reactors (PCMRs) are comprehensively described and compared on the basis of their performance to remediate persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in the wastewater.
Journal ArticleDOI
Zinc peroxide nanomaterial as an adsorbent for removal of Congo red dye from waste water
S.K. Chawla,S.K. Chawla,Himani Uppal,Himani Uppal,Mohit Yadav,Nupur Bahadur,Nahar Singh,Nahar Singh +7 more
TL;DR: A promising adsorbent zinc peroxide (ZnO2) nanomaterial has been developed for the removal of Congo red (CR) dye from contaminated water and has been confirmed by spectroscopic and microscopic techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of Fe doping on nanostructures and photoluminescence of sol-gel derived ZnO
TL;DR: In this paper, the doping of Fe (0.5, 2, and 50 mol%) in ZnO was performed using sol-gel process, which led to noteworthy alterations in the microstructure, phase formations and optical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of cobalt doping on the crystalline structure, optical and mechanical properties of ZnO thin films
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Co addition on the volume fraction of grain boundaries has been investigated and the change in the nature of stress from compressive to tensile with lower to higher doping of Co is corroborated with the angular peak shift of (002) plane of ZnO lattice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel pilot scale photocatalytic treatment of textile & dyeing industry wastewater to achieve process water quality and enabling zero liquid discharge
Nupur Bahadur,Nipun Bhargava +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, an end-to-end pilot scale photocatalytic treatment of real textile and dyeing industry effluent, which involved innovative approach in primary treatment, followed by Heterogenous Photocatalysis (HP) involving nano-TiO2/UV as secondary treatment and suitable filtration leading to treated water meeting process water quality enhancing water re-use efficiency.
