Journal ArticleDOI

Amino modified mesostructured silica nanoparticles for efficient adsorption of methylene blue.

TL;DR: The results indicate the potential for a new use of mesostructured materials as an effective adsorbent for MB, and fit well to the Freundlich isotherm model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct in situ activation of Ag0 nanoparticles in synthesis of Ag/TiO2 and its photoactivity

TL;DR: In this article, the photoactivity was affected by the amount of Ag nanoparticles and oxygen vacancies which act as an electrons trap to enhance the electron-hole separation, while, the Ag single bondOsingle bondTi bonds formation reduced the photoactive.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical strategy for grown ZnO nanoparticles deposited onto HY zeolite with enhanced photodecolorization of methylene blue: Effect of the formation of SiOZn bonds

TL;DR: In this paper, the photoactivity of EGZnO/HY was tested on the decolorization of methylene blue (MB), and an amount of 0.375g L − 1 of 1 ¼wt% EGZNO/Hy was found to be the optimum dosage for 10 ǫmg L −1 MB, which resulted in 80% of maximum decolorisation after 6h of contact time at pH 3 under fluorescent light (420 nm).
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction between copper and carbon nanotubes triggers their mutual role in the enhanced photodegradation of p-chloroaniline

TL;DR: The highest number of Cu-O-C bonds possessed by 3 wt% Cu/CNTs demonstrated the best performance in the degradation of p-chloroaniline under UV light irradiation within 5 h of reaction at 27 °C and under neutral pH conditions.
