Unified Dark Matter scalar field models with fast transition
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the general properties of Unified Dark Matter (UDM) scalar field models with Lagrangians with a non-canonical kinetic term, looking specifically for models that can produce a fast transition between an early Einstein-de Sitter CDM-like era and a later Dark Energy like phase, similarly to the barotropic fluid UDM models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Does Chaplygin gas have salvation
TL;DR: In this article, the generalized Chaplygin gas model is used to study the relationship between background kinematic tests and those related to the evolution of small perturbations, and it is shown that these tests favor negative values of the parameter α, which are unacceptable from the point of view of structure formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The extreme limit of the generalised Chaplygin gas
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect for the generalised Chaplygin gas and found that it does not fit the model for 10−3 < α < 350.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observational constraints on Rastall's cosmology
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors test Rastall's theory in cosmology, on a flat Robertson-Walker metric, investigating a two-fluid model and using the type Ia supernovae Constitution dataset.
Journal ArticleDOI
The extreme limit of the generalized Chaplygin gas
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect for the generalised Chaplygin gas and found that it does not fit the model for large values of α < 350.
