Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of COVID-19 RT-qPCR Test in Multi sample Pools.
Idan Yelin,Noga Aharony,Einat Shaer Tamar,Amir Argoetti,Esther Messer,Dina Berenbaum,Einat Shafran,Areen Kuzli,Nagham Gandali,Omer Shkedi,Tamar Hashimshony,Yael Mandel-Gutfreund,Michael Halberthal,Michael Halberthal,Yuval Geffen,Moran Szwarcwort-Cohen,Roy Kishony +16 more
TL;DR: It is hoped that implementation of a pool test for COVID-19 would allow expanding current screening capacities thereby enabling the expansion of detection in the community, as well as in close organic groups, such as hospital departments, army units, or factory shifts.
Journal ArticleDOI
Salt‐inducible kinase induces cytoplasmic histone deacetylase 4 to promote vascular calcification
TL;DR: A cytoplasmic role for HDAC4 is established andHDAC4, SIK, and ENIGMA are identified as mediators of vascular calcification, a process associated with significant morbidity and mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved sensitivity, safety, and rapidity of COVID-19 tests by replacing viral storage solution with lysis buffer.
Oran Erster,Omer Shkedi,Gil Benedek,Eyal Zilber,Itay Varkovitzky,Rachel Shirazi,Dorit Oriya Shorka,Yuval Cohen,Tzahi Bar,Rafi Yechieli,Michal Tepperberg Oikawa,Dana Venkert,Michal Linial,Esther Oiknine-Djian,Michal Mandelboim,Michal Mandelboim,Zvi Livneh,Gilat Shenhav-Saltzman,Gilat Shenhav-Saltzman,Ella Mendelson,Ella Mendelson,Dana G. Wolf,Moran Szwarcwort-Cohen,Orna Mor,Orna Mor,Yair E. Lewis,Danny Zeevi +26 more
TL;DR: In this article, the sensitivity and efficiency of SARS-CoV-2 detection in clinical samples collected directly into a mix of lysis buffer and RNA preservative, thus inactivating the virus immediately after sampling was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of rat cardiac myocytes and fibroblasts identifies combinatorial enhancer organization and transcription factor families.
TL;DR: This analysis shows that in both cell types, distal enhancers, containing concentrated combinatorial clusters of multiple tissue expressed TFs recognition motifs, are combinatorically clustered around tissue specific genes.
