Journal ArticleDOI

Entropies for detection of epilepsy in EEG

TL;DR: The results obtained indicate that entropy estimators can distinguish normal and epileptic EEG data with more than 95% confidence (using t-test), and the classification ability of the entropy measures is tested using ANFIS classifier.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of EEG-A comparative study

TL;DR: Results indicate that Chaotic measures like correlation dimension (CD), largest Lyapunov exponent (LLE), Hurst exponent (H) and entropy are used to characterize the signal and indicate that these nonlinear measures are good discriminators of normal and epileptic EEG signals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cardiac state diagnosis using adaptive neuro-fuzzy technique.

TL;DR: An adaptive neuro-fuzzy network is used to classify heart abnormalities in ten different cardiac states and shown to be effective.
Journal ArticleDOI

Erratum to "Entropies for detection of epilepsy in EEG" (Comput. Methods Prog. Biomed. 80 (2005) 187-194)

TL;DR: The EEG data used for this study were obtained from the EEG database available with the Bonn University and indicate nonlinear deterministic and finite dimensional structures in time series of brain electrical activity: dependence on recording region and brain state.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cardiac Health Diagnosis Using Heart Rate Variability Signals – A Comparative Study

TL;DR: The heart rate variability is used as the base signal from which certain parameters are extracted and presented to the ANN for classification, and the same data is also used for Fuzzy classifier and statistical classifiers.
