Journal ArticleDOI
Acoustic beamforming for noise source localization - Reviews, methodology and applications
TL;DR: The main concepts of beamforming, starting from the very basics and progressing on to more advanced concepts and techniques are presented, in order to give the reader the possibility to identify concepts and references which might be useful for her/his work.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrical Resistivity and Electrical Impedance Measurement in Mortar and Concrete Elements: A Systematic Review
TL;DR: In this paper, the state-of-the-art techniques to measure electrical impedance (and consequently electrical resistivity) of mortar/concrete elements are analyzed and discussed, highlighting pros and cons with respect to their performance, reliability, and degree of maturity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Exploiting Continuous Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometry in timing belt dynamic characterisation
TL;DR: In this paper, the use of Continuous Scanning LDV (CSLDV) is described for the dynamic characterisation of timing belts in IC (Internal Combustion) engines (cylinder head).
Proceedings ArticleDOI
The application of advanced beamforming techniques for the noise characterization of installed counter rotating open rotors
John Kennedy,Petr Eret,Gareth J. Bennett,Paolo Castellini,Paolo Chiariotti,Francesca Sopranzetti,Christophe Picard,Arthur Finez +7 more
TL;DR: The study attempts to characterize the installed CROR noise source through the application of several beamforming techniques applied to each individual array and to a global array of the three arrays in combination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance of concretes manufactured with newly developed low-clinker cements exposed to water and chlorides: Characterization by means of electrical impedance measurements
Gloria Cosoli,Alessandra Mobili,N. Giulietti,Paolo Chiariotti,Giuseppe Pandarese,Francesca Tittarelli,Francesca Tittarelli,Tiziano Bellezze,N. Mikanovic,Gian Marco Revel +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical impedance of three different concrete mixes during accelerated degradation tests is discussed. And the two new low-clinker cements adopted seem to improve the measurement sensitivity towards contaminants ingress with respect to the commercial one.
