Journal ArticleDOI

Expression of Helios, an Ikaros Transcription Factor Family Member, Differentiates Thymic-Derived from Peripherally Induced Foxp3+ T Regulatory Cells

TL;DR: Results demonstrate that Helios is potentially a specific marker of thymic-derived T Reg cells and raises the possibility that a significant percentage of Foxp3+ Treg cells are generated extrathymically.
Journal Article

CD59 functions as a signal-transducing molecule for human T cell activation.

TL;DR: Results demonstrate that the CD59 Ag can play multiple distinct roles in the regulation of the immune response, and demonstrates that CD59 does not play a role as a signal transducer downstream from the TCR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Helios+ and Helios- Treg subpopulations are phenotypically and functionally distinct and express dissimilar TCR repertoires.

TL;DR: Gene expression profiling demonstrated a large number of differentially expressed genes and showed that Helios− Treg expressed certain genes normally expressed in CD4+Foxp3− T cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ly-6: a multigene family in search of a function.

TL;DR: In this review Ethan Shevach and Patricia Korty summarize recent studies on the serology, biochemical and molecular structure, and the function of the products of this multigene family.
Journal Article

Role of Ly-6 in lymphocyte activation. I. Characterization of a monoclonal antibody to a nonpolymorphic Ly-6 specificity

TL;DR: A new rat mAb is characterized, D7, which recognizes a cell surface antigen whose expression on nonactivated peripheral lymphocytes varies from strain to strain and which could inhibit the binding of mAb specific for Ly-6A.1-positive strains.
