The Effect of Concentration and Hydraulic Shock Loads on the Performance of a Two-Stage High-Rate Anaerobic Wastewater Treatment System: Prediction and Validation
TL;DR: In this article, an improved version of a mechanistic mathematical model of anaerobic degradation processes has been developed, which was incorporated into three types of high-rate reactor configuration; namely, single-stage, two-stage and two stage with recycle.
Studies on hybridoma and insect cells in suspension culture.
Steven Reid,Paul F. Greenfield +1 more
TL;DR: An overview of the laboratory's extensive research into the metabolism and batch, fed-batch, continuous, perfusion and serum-free culture of hybridomas with a view to increasing the productivity of these animal cell lines is presented.

Evaluation of reforming catalyst diffusion properties using a batch adsorber
TL;DR: In this paper, the batch adsorber technique has been applied for the determination of bidisperse tortuosity factors in a typical reforming catalyst support for a typical extrudate, and experiments showed that due to the low resistance to diffusion in the micropores relative to that in the macropores, the uptake is generally controlled by the transport properties.
