Genotyping Unknown Genomic Terrain in Complex Plant Genomes

TL;DR: A case study and modelling of paralog evolution that exemplify the inherent difficulties of HTG in plants are presented and underlines the importance of genomic information and careful experimental design.
Posted ContentDOI

Candidate SNP analyses integrated with mRNA expression and hormone levels reveal influence on mammographic density and breast cancer risk

TL;DR: SNPs residing in genes belonging to the estradiol-signaling pathway were found associated with MD in two cohorts of Norwegian postmenopausal women, aiding in the understanding of the molecular signature in mammographically dense breasts.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tissue enzyme loci for routine genotyping in Norway pout ( Trisopterus esmarkii Nilsson, 1855): Electrophoresis conditions, tissue manifestations, allele designations and basic population genetic parameters

TL;DR: In order to find polymorphic tissue enzymes and suitable buffer systems for use in population genetic studies of Norway pout, a pilot study was performed using 30 individual specimens from one location based on electrophoretic analysis of 22 different tissue enzymes in three different buffer systems.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

194. Variation in patterns of recombination result in genetic variation in intrachromosomal shuffling in the domestic pig

TL;DR: In this article , the authors found that the amount of intrachromosomal shuffling between pairs of loci is higher in males than in females due to difference in distribution of crossovers along the chromosome in the sexes.
