Journal ArticleDOI
XRD-based quantitative analysis of clay minerals using reference intensity ratios, mineral intensity factors, Rietveld, and full pattern summation methods: A critical review
Xiang Zhou,Dong Liu,Hongling Bu,Liangliang Deng,Hongmei Liu,Peng Yuan,Peixin Du,Hongzhe Song +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, several quantification methods for clay minerals sourced from X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, mainly recommending the reference intensity ratio (RIR), mineral intensity factor (MIF), Rietveld, and full pattern summation methods are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activation of natural halloysite nanotubes by introducing lanthanum oxycarbonate nanoparticles via co-calcination for outstanding phosphate removal.
Yanfu Wei,Peng Yuan,Dong Liu,Dusan Losic,Daoyong Tan,Fanrong Chen,Hong-chang Liu,Junming Zhou,Peixin Du,Yaran Song +9 more
TL;DR: The resulting LO-alumina combination exhibits record-high phosphate adsorption capacity as well as excellence in adsorptive selectivity and sewage phosphate removal.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of calcination and acid treatment on improving benzene adsorption performance of halloysite
TL;DR: In this article, calcination and subsequent acid treatment were performed on halloysite to investigate their effects on dynamic benzene adsorption performance, and the results showed that the acid treatment after pre-calcination preserved the tubular morphology and introduced massive micropores as a result of the rapid dissolution of Al2O3 layers.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel halloysite–CeOx nanohybrid for efficient arsenic removal
TL;DR: In this article, a halloysite-CeOx (x = 1.5-2.0) nanocomposites were prepared using a redox-precipitation method, and the As(III) removal performance of the obtained materials was evaluated.
Book ChapterDOI
Surface Modifications of Halloysite
TL;DR: In this article, a pre-intercalated halloysite as a precursor is used to achieve surface modification of the interlayer surface of a clay mineral with a characteristic lumen surface, as well as an inter layer surface and an external surface.
