Journal ArticleDOI

Synergistic effects of functionalized graphene and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes on the electrical and mechanical properties of poly(ether sulfone) composites

TL;DR: In this article, mixed fillers composed of functionalized graphene and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (f-CNTs) were prepared and their synergistic effects in terms of enhancing the electrical conductivity and tensile modulus of poly(ether sulfone) (PES) composites were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultra low dielectric constant soluble polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS)–poly(aryl ether ketone) nanocomposites with excellent thermal and mechanical properties

TL;DR: A series of ultra low dielectric constant soluble organic-inorganic nanocomposites in which nanoscale octa-aminophenyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (OctaAmino POSS-Ph8) were covalently linked onto the fluoropoly (ether ether ketone)s (PEEK-CF3-COOH) were prepared and characterized as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exploration of zwitterionic cellulose acetate antifouling ultrafiltration membrane for bovine serum albumin (BSA) separation

TL;DR: According to the cycle ultrafiltration performance of bovine serum albumin (BSA) solution and protein adsorption experiment, ZCA membrane exhibited better flux recovery property and fouling resistant ability, especially irreversible foulingresistant ability, suggesting superior antifouling performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel poly(ethylene glycol)–grafted poly(arylene ether ketone) blend micro-porous polymer electrolyte for solid-state electric double layer capacitors formed by incorporating a chitosan-based LiClO4 gel electrolyte

TL;DR: In this paper, a micro-porous polymer electrolyte (MPE) from a poly(arylene ether ketone) (PAEK)/poly(ethylene glycol) grafted poly (arylene e ketone)-g-PEG composite membrane matrix incorporating a chitosan-based LiClO4 gel electrolyte was used to improve the liquid retention capacity of the MPE, and a novel solid-state electric double layer capacitor was fabricated using the synthesized MPE and activated carbon electrodes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Physicochemical properties of starch adhesives enhanced by esterification modification with dodecenyl succinic anhydride.

TL;DR: The introduction of DDSA improving the viscosity and solid content remarkably, which increased the amount of the adhesive that penetrated the wood surface and formed more interlocks, proved practical as a plywood adhesive for industrial application.
