Journal ArticleDOI
Anomalous reactivity of triphenylarsine and triarylphosphines of low basicity with [Ir(cod)(py)2][PF6] and use of the complexes as precatalysts for imine hydrogenation
Robin B. Bedford,Penny A. Chaloner,Shaliza Z. Dewa,Gregorio López,Peter B. Hitchock,Francisca Momblona,José Serrano +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction of [Ir(cod)L(py)2][PF6] with PPh3 or P(C6H4-4-CF3)3 or AsPh3 with mixed ligand complexes is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of µ-carbene and µ-carbyne complexes of rhodium and cobalt from substituted diazirines. Crystal structures of [Rh2(η5-C5Me5)2(CO)2{µ-C(C6H4F-4)(OMe)}] and [Rh2(η5-C5Me5)2(µ-CO)(µ-C6H4Me-4)][BPh4]
TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of aryl(methoxy)diazirines with [M2(η5-C5Me5)2(µ-CO)2]-M = Rh or Co] affords the µ-carbene complexes [M 2η 5-C 5Me5)(CO) 2{µ -CR(OMe)}] ] in excellent yield.
Journal ArticleDOI
The synthesis and single-crystal X-ray structure of the first mononuclear iridium carbonyl hydride with two orthometallated phosphite ligands, cis-[IrHCO{P(O-o-tBuC6H3) (O-o-tBuC6H4)2}2]
Elena Fernández,Aurora Ruiz,Carmen Claver,Sergio Castillón,Penny A. Chaloner,Peter B. Hitchcock +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first example of a mononuclear iridium carbonyl hydride complex with two orthometallated phosphite ligands was presented, which showed great stability even under high pressures of hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of μ-carbene complexes of cobalt from substituted diazirines
TL;DR: In this paper, aryl(methoxy)diazirines in dichloromethane has been used to obtain high yield (Ar = 4-FC6H4, 4-MeC6H 4, 4MeC 6H4) for a novel dynamic process with restriction of rotation about the CAr axis.
