Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnosis and staging of ovarian cancer: comparative values of Doppler and conventional US, CT, and MR imaging correlated with surgery and histopathologic analysis--report of the Radiology Diagnostic Oncology Group.
Alfred B. Kurtz,John V. Tsimikas,Clare M. Tempany,Ulrike M. Hamper,Peter H. Arger,Robert L. Bree,Richard J. Wechsler,Isaac R. Francis,Janet E. Kuhlman,Janet E. Kuhlman,Evan S. Siegelman,Donald G. Mitchell,Stuart G. Silverman,Douglas L. Brown,Sheila Sheth,Beverly G. Coleman,James H. Ellis,Robert J. Kurman,Daryl J. Caudry,Barbara J. McNeil +19 more
TL;DR: MR imaging is superior to Doppler US and CT in diagnosis of malignant ovarian masses and there is little variation among conventional US, CT, and MR imaging as regards staging.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kidney changes after extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy: CT evaluation.
J.I. Rubin,Peter H. Arger,Howard M. Pollack,Marc P. Banner,B.G. Coleman,Marshall C. Mintz,K N VanArsdalen +6 more
TL;DR: The authors conclude that while most patients undergoing ESWL will show some posttreatment abnormality on CT scans, the procedure appears to be associated with a low frequency of serious renal trauma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cerebral hemodynamics in preterm infants during positional intervention measured with diffuse correlation spectroscopy and transcranial Doppler ultrasound
Erin M. Buckley,Noah Cook,Turgut Durduran,Meeri N. Kim,Chao Zhou,Regine Choe,Guoqiang Yu,Susan M. Schultz,Chandra M. Sehgal,Daniel J. Licht,Peter H. Arger,Mary E. Putt,Hallam Hurt,Arjun G. Yodh +13 more
TL;DR: Four very low birth weight, very premature infants were monitored during a 12 degrees postural elevation using diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) and transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) to measure microvascular cerebral blood flow (CBF) and blood flow velocity in the middle cerebral artery to demonstrate feasibility of DCS in this population.
Journal ArticleDOI
A review of breast ultrasound.
TL;DR: In the future, ultrasound will play a greater role in differentiating benign from malignant masses and in the diagnosis of breast cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assessment of adrenal gland volume by computed tomography in depressed patients and healthy volunteers: a pilot study.
TL;DR: CT scans of the adrenal glands in depressed patients and healthy volunteers suggest that there may be demonstrable adrenal hypertrophy during depressive illness.
