Metal complexes with tetrapyrrole ligands, LIV: Synthesis, spectra, structure, and redox properties of cerium(IV) Bisporphyrinates with identical and different porphyrin rings in the sandwich system
Johann W. Buchler,André De Cian,Jean Fischer,Peter Hammerschmitt,Jürgen Löffler,Bernd Scharbert,Raymond Weiss +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the porphyrin rings behave as a common π-electron system in the double-deckers and a biscerium triple-decker is found in the OEP ring.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metallkomplexe mit Tetrapyrrol‐Liganden, LIX Redoxpotentiale, Nah‐Infrarot‐Absorption, Ionenradien sowie Ring‐Ring‐Abstand in Metall(III)‐bis(tetraphenylporphyrinat)‐Systemen mit Porphyrinringen in unterschiedlichen Oxidationsstufen
TL;DR: In this article, an extended series of tetrabutylammonium salts of bisporphyrinate double decker anions NBu4[MIII(TPP)2] (M = Y, La-Lu except Pm) is described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic states and (π, π*) absorption and emission characteristics of strongly coupled porphyrin dimers: sandwich complexes of HfIV and ZrIV
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported time-resolved and steady state optical measurements for the sandwhich complexes consisting of two tetraphenylporphyrin macrocycles held within 3 A by either a Zr IV or Hf IV ion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metal Complexes with Tetrapyrrole Ligands, LXI. Structure and Products of Electrochemical Oxidation of Zirconium(IV) and Hafnium(IV) Bisporphyrinate Double‐Deckers
Johann W. Buchler,André De Cian,Steffen Elschner,Jean Fischer,Peter Hammerschmitt,Raymond Weiss +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical oxidation of zirconium and hafnium double-deckers M(P)2 (M=Zr, Hf; P=OEP, TPP) (Scheme 1)2) leads to mono-and dications which show near infrared absorption bands which are of ≈ 2000 cm-1 higher energy than those of the corresponding cerium double decker cations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Metallkomplexe mit Tetrapyrrol‐Liganden, LX. Pseudo‐Sandwichkomplexe: Komplexe drei‐ und vierwertiger Metall‐Ionen mit Porphyrin‐ und Schiff‐Base‐Liganden
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of novel metal complexes with a porphyrinate, (P)2−2), and an ethylenebis (salicylidenealdiminate) or similar tetradentate open chelate, (L-4)2 −, as ligands is described.
