C2-Symmetric Bis(Aziridines): A New Class of Chiral Ligands for Transition Metal-Mediated Asymmetric Synthesis

TL;DR: The readily available C2-symmetric bis(aziridines) 1 can act as ligands in a variety of asymmetric transformations mediated by transition metals as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

1,3‐Dipolar Cycloadditions of Carbonyl Ylides to Aldimines: A Three‐Component Approach to syn‐α‐Hydroxy‐β‐amino Esters

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-component approach to the synthesis of α-hydroxy-β-amino esters is presented, which is based on a highly diastereoselective 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of carbonyl ylides to various aldimines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aza-[2,3]-Wittig rearrangements of vinylaziridines as a novel entry to indolizidine alkaloids. Enantioselective total synthesis of indolizidine 209D

TL;DR: In this paper, an enantioselective total synthesis of indolizidine 209D (1) from epoxy alcohol 4 is described, the key step in the sequence involves an aza-[2,3]-Wittig rearrangement of vinylaziridine 7 to yield the cis-2,6-disubstituted tetrahydropyridine 8 in 98% yield and as a single detectable diastereomer.
