Journal ArticleDOI
Uptake and accumulation of cadmium, lead and zinc by Siam weed [Chromolaena odorata (L.) King & Robinson].
Phanwimol Tanhan,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Prayad Pokethitiyook,Rattanawat Chaiyarat +4 more
TL;DR: Results confirm that C. odorata is a hyperaccumulator which grows rapidly, has substantial biomass, wide distribution and has a potential for the phytoremediation of metal contaminated soils.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phytostabilization of a pb-contaminated mine tailing by various tree species in pot and field trial experiments
Weeradej Meeinkuirt,Prayad Pokethitiyook,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Phanwimol Tanhan,Rattanawat Chaiyarat +4 more
TL;DR: Results from field trial showed that A. mangium with the addition of organic fertilizer was the best option for phytostabilization of Pb-contaminated mine tailing because it retained higher Pb concentration in the roots.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phytostabilization Potential of Pb Mine Tailings by Two Grass Species, Thysanolaena maxima and Vetiveria zizanioides
Weeradej Meeinkuirt,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Phanwimol Tanhan,Rattanawat Chaiyarat,Prayad Pokethitiyook +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the phytostabilization potential of two grass species (Thysanolaena maxima and Vetiveria zizanioides) with respect to lead (Pb) tailing soil was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bioaccumulation of heavy metals in water, sediments, aquatic plant and histopathological effects on the golden apple snail in Beung Boraphet reservoir, Thailand
Vipawee Dummee,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Wachareeporn Trinachartvanit,Phanwimol Tanhan,Prayad Pokethitiyook,Praneet Damrongphol +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that both P. canaliculata and I. aquatica could be used as biomonitors of sedimentary metal contamination for the Beung Boraphet reservoir.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of soil amendments and EDTA on lead uptake by Chromolaena odorata: greenhouse and field trial experiments.
Phanwimol Tanhan,Prayad Pokethitiyook,Maleeya Kruatrachue,Rattanawat Chaiyarat,Suchart Upatham +4 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that C. odorata could be used for phytoextraction of Pb contaminated soil and more effective Pb accumulation could be enhanced by Osmocote fertilizer, however, the use of EDTA in the field should be concerned with their leaching problems.
