The tail suspension test: A new method for screening antidepressants in mice
TL;DR: A novel test procedure for antidepressants was designed in which a mouse is suspended by the tail from a lever, the movements of the animal being recorded, and the test can separate the locomotor stimulant doses from antidepressant doses.
Journal ArticleDOI
The automated tail suspension test: A computerized device which differentiates psychotropic drugs
Lucien Steru,Raymond Chermat,Bernard Thierry,Juan-Antonio Mico,Antoine Lenègre,Marius Steru,Pierre Simon,Roger D. Porsolt +7 more
TL;DR: A computerized version of this test (ITEMATIC-TST) which in addition to recording immobility measures the power of the movements, suggesting that the automated test system is not only sensitive to antidepressants but could also be useful for generating activity profiles for different kinds of psychotropic agent.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simple model for studying benzodiazepines: Potentiation of hyperactivity induced by cocaine in mice
Marie-Hélène Thiébot,Joseph Kloczko,Raymond Chermat,Philippe Soubrie,Alain J. Puech,Pierre Simon +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that benzodiazepines may exert their facilitatory activity on cocaine‐induced hyperactivity by interfering with some central catecholaminergic processes either directly or through the involvement of a GABA‐ergic link.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epidemiologic data of primary glomerular diseases in western France
Pierre Simon,Marie-Paule Ramée,Rehouni Boulahrouz,C. Stanescu,Christophe Charasse,K.I.M. Seng aNG,Françoise Leonetti,Cam G,Eric Laruelle,Valérie Autuly,Nathalie Rioux +10 more
TL;DR: The stability of annual incidence according to period and age, demonstrated for the first time during the last period, provides a new evidence of a role for genetic factors in the pathogenesis of IgAN.
Journal ArticleDOI
