Journal ArticleDOI

(Z)-1,2-bis(ethoxydimethylsilyl)arylethenes as new building blocks for organic synthesis

TL;DR: In this paper, a new efficient protocol for highly stereoselective synthesis of (Z)-1,2-bis(ethoxydimethylsilyl)arylethenes from vinylsilanes based on sequential ruthenium-catalyzed silylative coupling-palladium-calyzed Heck coupling is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

In situ Mo(CO)₆-based catalysts for alkyne metathesis: Silanols vs phenols as co-catalysts under thermal and photochemical activation

TL;DR: In this article, the use of silanols and phenols as effective activators in Mo(CO) based catalytic systems for metathesis of 4-decyne and 1-phenyl-1-propyne is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Efficient Synthesis of Unsymmetrical 1,1‐Bis(silyl)ethenes.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method for the synthesis of 1,1-bis(silyl)ethenes is described, which involves selective silylative coupling cyclization of N-methyl-N-(dimethylvinylsily loxy)ethanamine catalyzed by a ruthenium hydride complex and subsequent one-pot reaction of the cyclic bis(Silyl)-derivative with Grignard reagents followed by alcoholysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

A New Facile Synthesis of 1,1-Dibromo-2-arylethenes

TL;DR: In this paper, a double bromodesilylation of the easily accessible 1,1 -bis(trimethylsilyl)-2-arylethenes using N-bromosuccinimide under mild conditions was proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Stereoselective Synthesisof (Z)-α-Iodovinylsilanes viaOne-Pot Iododesilylation/Isomerization of 1,1-Bis(silyl)alk-1-enes

TL;DR: Synthetically useful (Z)-2-aryl-l-iodo-1-silylethenes were prepared in good to excellent yields via one-pot monolododesilylation/isomerization of readily accessible 2- Daryl-1,1-bis(silyl)ethenes using N-iodosuccinimide or bis(pyridine)iodonium tetrafluoroborate under mild conditions.
