Journal ArticleDOI
SGO/SPES-based highly conducting polymer electrolyte membranes for fuel cell application.
TL;DR: The maximum proton conductivity has been found in 5% SGO composite with higher methanol crossover resistance, and the distribution of SGO throughout the membrane matrix has been examined using SEM and TEM and found to be uniform.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation of graphene oxide nano-composite ion-exchange membranes for desalination application
TL;DR: In this article, a nano-composite membrane consisting of graphene oxide (GO) and sulfonated polyethersulfone (SPES) was used for water desalination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of highly stable and high water retentive functionalized biopolymer-graphene oxide modified cation exchange membranes
TL;DR: In this paper, a PEM-based biopolymer was synthesized with silica modified GO and PVA, which has been subjected to different types of characterization such as structural, thermal, mechanical and electrochemical characterization.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acid resistant PVDF based copolymer alkaline anion exchange membrane for acid recovery and electrodialytic water desalination
TL;DR: In this paper, a facile approach has been chosen for the synthesis of PVDF based copolymer anion exchange membrane using nonhazardous chemicals, which was achieved through free radical polymerization between dehydrofluorinated PVDF-co-HFP and morpholine functionalized vinyl benzyl chloride (VBC).
Journal ArticleDOI
An environmentally friendly process for the synthesis of an fGO modified anion exchange membrane for electro-membrane applications
TL;DR: In this article, an anion exchange membrane (AEM) based on chemically covalently modified graphene oxide (GO) for electrodialysis and fuel cell applications is reported, where the success of the membrane is done by incorporating fGO within quaternized polyethyleneimine (PEI) and poly(vinyl alcohol) by a solution casting method followed by cross linking.
