Journal ArticleDOI

GABI-Kat SimpleSearch: new features of the Arabidopsis thaliana T-DNA mutant database

TL;DR: All FSTs have been newly mapped using an optimized procedure that leads to improved accuracy of insertion site predictions, and many problematic FST-to-line links have been corrected using new wet-lab data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complete Genome Sequence and Analysis of the Multiresistant Nosocomial Pathogen Corynebacterium jeikeium K411, a Lipid-Requiring Bacterium of the Human Skin Flora

TL;DR: Metabolic analyses of the genome sequence indicated that the "lipophilic" phenotype of C. jeikeium most likely originates from the absence of fatty acid synthase and thus represents a fatty acid auxotrophy, which largely reflects the strict dependence of growth on the presence of exogenous fatty acids.
Journal ArticleDOI

A trans-splicing group I intron and tRNA-hyperediting in the mitochondrial genome of the lycophyte Isoetes engelmannii

TL;DR: The first mitochondrial DNA of a lycophyte, the quillwort Isoetes engelmannii, which is separated from seed plants by more than 350 million years of evolution is analysed, demonstrating disrupted, but functional, RNAs for yet another class of natural ribozymes.
