Coaxial rotor helicopters at the Micro Air Vehicle scale are becoming widely accepted as an easy to fly and stable configuration. This study models the heave and yaw modes of the vehicles dynamics, based on the aerodynamic interaction of the two rotors. The linearized model is represented in state space with a closed form solution. It is then evaluated for its stability and control response. The coupling between the height and heading transient response is evaluated. Based on these characteristics, a technique for control mixing is proposed for the ease of pilot control and also closed loop design. The steady state values of the model are validated using typical parameters of a commercially available vehicle. The predicted thrust sharing between the rotors is found to match with that reported in experiments. The effect of the interaction between the two coaxial rotors on the system performance and stability is analyzed.

Analytical Formulation Of Heave-Yaw Modes For A Coaxial Rotor Micro Aerial Vehicle

Aim: In-Vitro Anti-inflammatory Activity of Methanolic Extract of Convolvulus pluricaulis Choisy.
Material & Methods- The whole plant parts of Convolvulus pluricaulis Choisy were purchased from the local market. Whole plant materials were dried under shade and subjected to coarse powder for extraction process. Accurately weighed quantity of whole plant material was extracted using 95 % methanol by soxhlet apparatus for 72 h. Qualitative chemical tests of methanolic extracts were subjected to various chemical tests to detect various phytoconstituents. Solvent systems ethyl acetate: methanol: water (77:13:10) were found to be most satisfactory solvent system. After development of plates, they were air-dried and number of spots, color and Rf values were recorded. The % heamolysis was calculated by assuming the heamolysis produced by the control group as 100 %.
Results: The preliminary phytochemical analysis revealed that different active constituent present in different extracts such as carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, fat, oils, steroids, terpenoids, glycosides, alkaloids, tannins and other phenolics compounds. At a concentration of 500 µg/ml, the extract produced 71.59% protection of RBC haemolysis as compared with 72.73% produced by prednisolone.  The methanolic extract of selected plant showed 39.70% inhibition. The Diclofenac sodium showed 55.88 % inhibition against denaturation of protein.
Conclusion: In conclusion, it can be stated that the methanolic extract has beneficial effects in long lasting in membrane stabilizing method, inhibition of protein denaturation method and proteinase model.

In-Vitro Anti-inflammatory Activity of Methanolic Extract of Convolvulus pluricaulis Choisy


 The Butterfly eVTOL aircraft configuration includes four tilting propellers based on Optimum Speed Tilt Rotor technology. The propellers have the ability to operate over a wide range of rotor speeds and therefore generate thrust efficiently in all design flight conditions. Individual blade control actuators are used to provide cyclic inputs and generate hub mast moments. The combined features of variable RPM and mast moment control gives the Butterfly the unique ability to operate with sufficient control margins even with two operational propellers. This paper describes the control methodology to stabilize and operate the aircraft in both the normal and multiple failed propeller conditions. The propeller performance and control response is validated with experiments. The effect of the control methodology and propeller performance on the center of gravity envelope is analyzed. A simple feedback control scheme is applied to demonstrate the efficacy of the control methodology in normal and failure modes.
