SO2 and NOx emissions from sludge combustion in a CO2/O2 atmosphere

TL;DR: In this article, batch combustion tests of sludge were carried out in CO 2 /O 2 and N 2/O 2 atmospheres to investigate SO 2 and NOx emissions, and the results showed that the maximum value and appearance time of the peak of SO 2 concentration curve were affected by temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI

Toward understanding the role of individual fluorescent components in DOM-metal binding.

TL;DR: Fluorescence excitation-emission matrix quenching and parallel factor analysis was adopted for bulk DOM and chemically isolated fractions from landfill leachate to elucidate the role of individual fluorescent components in metal binding (Cu(II) and Cd(II).
Journal ArticleDOI

Review of source identification methodologies for heavy metals in solid waste

TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarized recent progress in methodologies of source identification of heavy metals in solid waste and discussed the key scientific concerns related to these methodologies based on the total contents, chemical speciation, isotopic composition, and singleparticle signature.
