The present invention provides a gas turbine combustor that has a fuel injection nozzle using a fluid other than liquid fuel to atomize the liquid fuel and that can suppress a reduction in power generation efficiency resulting from a heat loss while promoting the atomization of the liquid fuel. The gas turbine combustor is adapted to mix liquid fuel with combustion air led from a compressor, burn the mixture, and supply combustion gas generated to a gas turbine. The gas turbine combustor includes a fuel injection nozzle that atomizes the liquid fuel into fine liquid droplets. The fuel injection nozzle includes a first system adapted to supply the liquid fuel and a second system adapted to supply a fluid for atomizing the liquid fuel. Low-boiling liquid fuel is supplied to the second system as the fluid. The second system is adapted to heat and supply the low-boiling liquid fuel.

A multi-beam lens antenna for individual communication with communication satellites spaced at small elongations. The multi-beam antenna comprises antenna elements (3) each of which is composed of a waveguide having an opening at the end and a dielectric body (6) disposed at the end, a hemispherical Luneberg electromagnetic lens, and a reflective plate attached to the circular opening of the hemispherical electromagnetic lens and adapted for reflecting a radio wave incoming from the sky or emitted toward a target. The waveguides are preferably rectangular waveguides (4) rather than circular waveguides (5). The dielectric bodies (6) are preferably tapered.

Electromagnetic lens array antenna device

A sealing structure for sealing a gap between a combustor liner having an outer surface and a surrounding structure surrounding the combustor liner, includes: an annular sealing member held on the surrounding structure so as to be in contact with the outer surface of the combustor liner. The sealing member includes a plurality of sealing segments arranged in an annular configuration. The sealing structure seals the gap around the combustor liner of the combustor and absorbs, the difference in thermal expansion between the combustor liner and the surrounding structure.

Radio wave lens antenna

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of cracks on a spring seal part and inhibit a rise in a metal temperature attributable to a combustion temperature of gas flames generated on a combustor liner during operation by providing a cooling air hole to a transition piece near a combustion gas outlet of the combustor liner. CONSTITUTION: A high pressure air from an air compressor ejection casing 3 is introduced around a transition piece 2 which directly introduces a high temperature gas to a first stage nozzle of a gas turbine and enters an annular space around a combustion liner 1 and is introduced into a combustion area by way of a combustion air opening (mixed air opening) and a slot 9 which cools the combustion liner 1. In this case, a plurality of cooling air holes 12a and 12b, which penetrate through the main body, are provided to a reinforcing rib 11 placed on a spring seal part 10 of the combustor liner 1 in the peripheral direction. This construction makes it possible to cool the metal uniformly by bringing the cooling air in contact with the spring seal part 10 of the combustor liner 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a reflection mirror even when the separation angle of radiated beams is small by placing plural primary radiators containing the beam focusing means consisting of axially long dielectric members mounted on a waveguide opening part approximately at the focal position of the reflector and also forming both ends of the dielectric member constructing each beam focusing means in the conical shapes. SOLUTION: A primary radiator 2 is placed near and against the focal position F of a parabolic reflector 1, and a primary radiator 3 is also placed near and against the position F and opposite to the radiator 2. The radiator 2 and 3 have the same shapes, and each of both radiators 2 and 3 consists of a waveguide having its circular section, a dielectric substance mounted at the front edge of the waveguide and a converter placed at the rear end of the waveguide. Then one of both ends of the dielectric substance has a conical shape to secure the matching of impedance with the waveguide with the other end projecting to the outside of the waveguide respectively.

Multi-beam antenna

PURPOSE: To provide the nondirectional VHF/UHF antenna which doesn't require any phase devices and is miniaturized and is operated in the VHF band as well as the UHF band. CONSTITUTION: A VHF antenna element 4 constituting a VHF antenna 2 is formed by bending a folded dipole into a circle, and a coil 8 is connected to the center of the folded element, and it is operated with two frequencies. The intra-horizontal directional pattern is improved by a passive element 9 arranged in the vicinity or the front end part or the VHF antenna element 4. A UHF antenna element 5 consists of a Y type dipole ana is produced on an insulating substrate 12 and has the front end folded inward to be miniaturized and is arranged a prescribed length apart from the VHF antenna 2. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a omnidirectional antenna for horizontally polarized waves and a omnidirectional antenna for vertically polarized wave small in a single body. SOLUTION: A polarized wave diversity antenna 1 is constructed by performing folding to make a cross section of a U shape. A slit 10a is vertically formed on the front plate 14 of the diversity antenna 1 to form a notch antenna 10 for horizontally polarized waves. A slot 12a is formed horizontally over the front plate 14, a left side plate 15 and a right side plate 16 to form a slot antenna 12 for vertically polarized waves. Since folding is performed to make the cross section into a U shape, the notch antenna 10 for horizontally polarized waves and the slot antenna 12 for vertically polarized wave are almost omnidirectional.
