Effect of minor Sc and Zr on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Al–Mg based alloys

TL;DR: In this article, a series of Al-Mg-based alloy plates with thickness of 4 mm containing minor Sc and Zr were prepared and tensile properties and microstructures of the alloys were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of retrogression and re-aging treatment on corrosion behaviour of an Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of retrogression and re-aging treatment on the microstructure, strength, exfoliation corrosion, intergranular corrosion and stress corrosion cracking of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy has been investigated by means of optical microscope (OM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Sc and Zr additions on corrosion behaviour of Al–Zn–Mg–Cu alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship between recrystallization and corrosion behavior of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys has been investigated, and it was shown that the addition of Sc and Zr to Al−Zn−Mg−Cu alloy can improve the corrosion resistance observably.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of aging treatments on mechanical property and corrosion behavior of spray formed 7055 aluminium alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship among microstructures, mechanical properties and corrosion behaviors of spray formed 7055 aluminium alloy has been investigated upon peak-aging (T6), double-aging, and retrogression and re-aging.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of hot deformation behavior of as-homogenized Al–Cu–Li–Sc–Zr alloy using processing maps

TL;DR: In this paper, the hot deformation behavior of Al-Cu-Li-Sc-Zr alloy and its microstructure evolution were investigated by isothermal compression tests under various deformation conditions.
