Journal ArticleDOI

A user-friendly herbicide derived from photo-responsive supramolecular vesicles

TL;DR: A photosensitive formulation that releases paraquat upon exposure to UV light or sunlight is generated, which shows an improved safety profile in zebrafish and mouse models, while maintaining substantial herbicidal activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hepatoprotective Effect of Jianpi Huoxue Formula on Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Induced by Methionine-Choline-Deficient Diet in Rat

TL;DR: JPHX exhibited a hepatoprotective effect against NAFLD in an MCD experimental model and prevented rats from MCD-induced cellular apoptosis, as suggested by TUNEL staining, and suppressed the activation of caspase 3 and 7 proteins.
Journal ArticleDOI

Low-Magnitude High-Frequency Vibration Decreases Body Weight Gain and Increases Muscle Strength by Enhancing the p38 and AMPK Pathways in db/db Mice.

TL;DR: LMHFV applied in this study decreases body weight gain and improves muscle strength and NAFLD in diabetic mice which were partly through improving mitochondrial biogenesis by enhancing p38 and AMPKα pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hepatoprotective effect of Qushihuayu formula on non-alcoholic steatohepatitis induced by MCD diet in rat

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the mechanism of hepatoprotective effect of QSHY formula using a rat model and found that the QShY formula increased hepatic mRNA levels of Transcription Factor 1 alpha, Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 4 alpha (HNF4A), Forkhead box protein A3 (FOXA3), which played a pivotal role in Hepatic stellate cell (HSCs) reprogramming.
