Protection against water or mud inrush in tunnels by grouting: A review

TL;DR: In this article, a large-scale dynamic grouting model testing system was developed, and diffusions of cement and fast curing grouts in dynamic water grouting were investigated, and the results reveal that the diffusions are U-shaped and asymmetric elliptical, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

An investigation of ultrasonic-assisted electrical discharge machining in gas

TL;DR: In this paper, an ultrasonic-assisted electrical discharge machining (UEDM) method was proposed to improve the efficiency of electrical discharge cutting in gas medium. But, the workpiece material is AISI 1045 steel and the electrode material is copper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental study on performance of cement-based grouts admixed with fly ash, bentonite, superplasticizer and water glass

TL;DR: In this paper, the ASTM Type I Portland cement (PC), class F fly ash (FA), bentonite (B), superplasticizer (SP) and water glass were designed to improve properties of grouting materials in different aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Finite element analysis of the hydro-mechanical behavior of an underground crude oil storage facility in granite subject to cyclic loading during operation

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of an underground crude oil storage facility in granite that will be subject to cyclic loading during its operation was analyzed using the finite element method, and a constitutive model was developed based on the test results to describe the fatigue behavior of the rock.
Journal ArticleDOI

Calcination of calcium sulphoaluminate cement using flue gas desulfurization gypsum as whole calcium oxide source

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of industrial solid waste was calcined under different calcination conditions to study the decomposition behavior of FGD gypsum and properties of CSA cement made from the FGD Gypsum.
