Journal ArticleDOI
MGH-USC Human Connectome Project datasets with ultra-high b-value diffusion MRI.
Qiuyun Fan,Thomas Witzel,Aapo Nummenmaa,Koene R. A. Van Dijk,John D. Van Horn,Michelle K. Drews,Leah H. Somerville,Margaret A. Sheridan,Rosario M. Santillana,Jenna Snyder,Trey Hedden,Emily E. Shaw,Marisa O. Hollinshead,Ville Renvall,Roberta Zanzonico,Boris Keil,Stephen F. Cauley,Jonathan R. Polimeni,M. Dylan Tisdall,Randy L. Buckner,Van J. Wedeen,Lawrence L. Wald,Arthur W. Toga,Bruce R. Rosen +23 more
TL;DR: The efforts of the MGH-USC HCP consortium in acquiring and sharing the ultra-high b-value diffusion MRI data are described and a report on data preprocessing and access is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-resolution in vivo diffusion imaging of the human brain with generalized slice dithered enhanced resolution: Simultaneous multislice (gSlider-SMS)
Kawin Setsompop,Qiuyun Fan,Jason P. Stockmann,Berkin Bilgic,Susie Y. Huang,Stephen F. Cauley,Aapo Nummenmaa,Fuyixue Wang,Fuyixue Wang,Yogesh Rathi,Thomas Witzel,Lawrence L. Wald +11 more
TL;DR: To develop an efficient acquisition for high‐resolution diffusion imaging and allow in vivo whole‐brain acquisitions at 600‐ to 700‐μm isotropic resolution.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vivo characterization of cortical and white matter neuroaxonal pathology in early multiple sclerosis.
Tobias Granberg,Qiuyun Fan,Constantina A. Treaba,Russell Ouellette,Russell Ouellette,Elena Herranz,Gabriel Mangeat,Gabriel Mangeat,Céline Louapre,Julien Cohen-Adad,Julien Cohen-Adad,Eric C. Klawiter,Jacob A. Sloane,Jacob A. Sloane,Caterina Mainero +14 more
TL;DR: Microstructural pathology was frequent in early multiple sclerosis, and present mainly focally in cortical lesions, whereas more diffusely in white matter, which suggests early demyelination with loss of cells and/or cell volumes in cortical and white matter lesions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Variability and anatomical specificity of the orbitofrontothalamic fibers of passage in the ventral capsule/ventral striatum (VC/VS): precision care for patient-specific tractography-guided targeting of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
Nikolaos Makris,Nikolaos Makris,Yogesh Rathi,Palig Mouradian,Giorgio Bonmassar,George Papadimitriou,Wingkwai I. Ing,Edward H. Yeterian,Marek Kubicki,Emad N. Eskandar,Lawrence L. Wald,Qiuyun Fan,Aapo Nummenmaa,Alik S. Widge,Alik S. Widge,Darin D. Dougherty +15 more
TL;DR: In this article, a tractography-guided patient-specific deep brain stimulation (DBS) for medically intractable obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) using diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (dMRI) is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
DeepDTI: High-fidelity six-direction diffusion tensor imaging using deep learning.
Qiyuan Tian,Berkin Bilgic,Berkin Bilgic,Qiuyun Fan,Congyu Liao,Chanon Ngamsombat,Chanon Ngamsombat,Yuxin Hu,Thomas Witzel,Kawin Setsompop,Kawin Setsompop,Jonathan R. Polimeni,Jonathan R. Polimeni,Susie Y. Huang,Susie Y. Huang +14 more
TL;DR: A new processing framework for DTI is presented that minimizes the data requirement of DTI to six diffusion-weighted images (DWIs) required by conventional voxel-wise fitting methods for deriving the six unique unknowns in a diffusion tensor using data-driven supervised deep learning.
