Torrisi,Harold A. Scheraga,Yelena A. Arnautova,Martin U. Schmidt,P. Verwer +26 more
TL;DR: A third blind test of crystal structure prediction was hosted by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre and highlighted the necessity for better energy models, capable of simultaneously describing conformational and packing energies with high accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Raman phonon spectra of pentacene polymorphs
Aldo Brillante,R. G. Della Valle,Luca Farina,Alberto Girlando,Matteo Masino,Elisabetta Venuti +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the first time lattice phonon Raman spectra of pentacene were measured by means of a Raman microprobe technique and the existence of two polymorphs was proved.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anharmonic processes in molecular crystals. Calculation of the anharmonic shifts, bandwidths and energy decay processes in crystalline naphthalene
TL;DR: In this paper, the anharmonic frequencies and the bandwidths of the lattice phonons of naphthalene at 4 K have been calculated using an intermolecular potential which includes atom-atom and quadrupole-quadrupole contributions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of Phase Purity in Organic Semiconductors by Lattice‐Phonon Confocal Raman Mapping: Application to Pentacene
Aldo Brillante,Ivano Bilotti,R. G. Della Valle,Elisabetta Venuti,Matteo Masino,Alberto Girlando +5 more
Journal ArticleDOI
High dimensional anharmonic potential energy surfaces: The case of methane
TL;DR: In this article, the overtone vibrational spectra of all Td symmetry isotopomers of methane have been analyzed simultaneously using a Hamiltonian expressed in internal curvilinear coordinates expanded to the fourth order, with a ninedimensional basis of harmonic oscillator wave functions in symmetry coordinates.
