Journal ArticleDOI
Antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of Bauhinia racemosa L. stem bark
R. S. Kumar,Thangavel Sivakumar,R.S. Sunderam,Malaya Gupta,Upal Kanti Mazumdar,P Gomathi,Y. Rajeshwar,Sekaran Saravanan,M.S. Kumar,K. Murugesh,K.A. Kumar +10 more
TL;DR: The results obtained indicate that methanol extract of Bauhinia racemosa (MEBR) can be a potential source of natural antioxidant and antimicrobial agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
CNS activity of the methanol extracts of Careya arborea in experimental animal model
R. S. Kumar,R. Shanmuga Sundram,P. Sivakumar,R Nethaji,V. Senthil,N. Venkateswara Murthy,R. Kanagasabi +6 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that methanol extract of barks of Careya arborea exhibit CNS depressant activity in tested animal models.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Bauhinia racemosa stem bark on N-nitrosodiethylamine-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in rats.
R. S. Kumar,Rajagopal Shanmuga Sunderam,Thangavel Sivakumar,P. Sivakumar,Raman Sureshkumar,Rengaswamy Kanagasabi,Manickum Vijaya,Baskaran Perumal Perumal,Malaya Gupta,Upal Kanti Mazumdar,Mani Senthil Kumar,Kuppuswamy Asok Kumar +11 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that MEBR exert chemopreventive effects by suppressing nodule development and decreasing lipid peroxidation and enhancing the levels of antioxidants in NDEA carcinogenesis by reducing the formation of free radicals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on the Preparation and Evaluation of Chitosan Nanoparticles containing Cytarabine
TL;DR: The in vivo biodistribution study results showed that the nanoparticles were having better distribution of drug compared to free drug in different organs like spleen, lungs, kidney etc.
Journal Article
Antitumor and Antioxidant Activities of Triumfetta rhomboidea against Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma bearing Swiss Albino mice
TL;DR: Investigating experimentally the possible antitumor effect and antioxidant role of methanol extract of Triumfetta rhomboidea (METR) leaves against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma (EAC) bearing Swiss albino mice indicates that the methanole extract of METR brought back the hematological parameter more or less normal level.
