TL;DR: In this paper , a round robin among eleven Italian Universities has been performed to calibrate the peak stress method (PSM) with seven different commercial FE software packages to investigate the influence of FE code, element type, mesh pattern, and procedure to extrapolate stresses at FE nodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transient temperature variations in the primary network of a solar power plant
TL;DR: In this article, the energy conservation equations are solved to determine the transient behavior of a solar power plant, made of linear concentrators, assuming typical project parameters and the available experimental data, and different physical and geometrical configurations are considered; the results are shown and discussed in order to supply useful indications for the design of a photovoltaic power plant.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double-layer selective coating, high-temperature resistant, for the conversion of solar energy into heat
TL;DR: In this article, a method is proposed for the realization of an absorbing surface, selective to the solar radiation, able to work up to a temperature of ≈300°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optical and electrical properties of tin-dioxide films
TL;DR: In this article, the electro-optical properties of thin SnO2 films are analyzed in relation to different experimental deposition conditions, and the results of the experiments have been discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
A simplified model of the thermohydraulic behaviour of a linear collector network for the conversion of the solar energy
TL;DR: In this paper, a model has been set up to describe the thermohydraulic behavior of a solar power plant in a quasi-steady-state approach; the simplifying assumptions have been proved to be correct.
