Risk factors for low birthweight in the public-hospitals at Peshawar, NWFP-Pakistan

TL;DR: Specific factors related to geo-demographics (maternal age, consanguinity and nationality), maternal health (anaemia) and pregnancy history (abortion/miscarriage) were significantly associated with the incidence of LBW observed at the four hospitals surveyed in Peshawar.
Journal ArticleDOI

Testing winter wheat simulation models' predictions against observed UK grain yields

TL;DR: In this paper, observed yields from well-managed and documented UK agricultural experiments were used for a large-scale study of these models' grain yield predictions, and substantial disagreement was found between the models' predictions of both yield and yield loss due to water limitation.
Journal ArticleDOI

A parsimonious, multiple-regression model of wheat yield response to environment

TL;DR: In this paper, a database of nearly 2000 yield observations from winter wheat crops grown in UK trials between 1976 and 1993 was used to develop a new model of effects of weather on wheat yield.

Agricultural Sustainability: Economic, Environmental, and Statistical Considerations

TL;DR: In this article, a case study using US Agriculture using long-term experiments and productivity measures to evaluate the sustainability of cropping systems is presented. But the authors did not consider the impact of external costs on agricultural sustainability.
