Journal ArticleDOI

Hidden magnetism at the pseudogap critical point of a high temperature superconductor

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that the genuine nature of the magnetic ground state in La2-xSrxCuO4 is hidden by competing effects from superconductivity: applying intense magnetic fields to quench superconductivities, uncover the presence of glassy antiferromagnetic order up to the pseudogap boundary p* ~ 0.19.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin susceptibility of charge-ordered YBa2Cu3Oy across the upper critical field

TL;DR: It is found that χspin increases (most likely linearly) with magnetic field H and saturates above field values ranging from 20 T to 40 T, consistent with the lowest Hc2 values claimed previously and with the interpretation that the charge density wave (CDW) reduces Hc1 in underdoped YBa2Cu3Oy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tuning the Distance to a Possible Ferromagnetic Quantum Critical Point in A 2 Cr 3 As 3

TL;DR: The results suggest that the A_{2}Cr_{3}As-3} family is a possible solid-state analog of superfluid He, which is the first group of Cr-based superconductors at ambient pressure, with A being alkali elements.
