TL;DR: In this article, a tensor tensor gauge connection on principal fiber bundles P(M,G) over space-time M is shown to be a connection on the bundle over the space of all loops in space time, and a Kaluza-Jordan construction on P(Ω1M,U(1)) leads to the bosonic sector of the N = 1 supergravity action in ten dimensions.

Abstract: Recently Polyakov proposed an N-point Green's function G(p/sub 1/,...,p/sub N/) for closed strings. We consider the problem of finding poles in the external momenta and extracting on-shell scattering amplitudes from G. Moreover, we find that G is invariant under complex Moebius transformations, and is presumably dual.
